Responsibilities:
Consultant Engineer - Full-Time:
If you enjoy variety, we will put your time-management and organization skills to use handling field visits, office work, and projects for large commercial clients.
We will provide you with extensive training to understand our business, build relationships with mentors, and learn FM Global's best-in-class industry standards.
In this role, you will work independently with a lifeline of 200 years of support and experience.
Initially, your assignments are structured for you to learn.
You will gradually begin assessing risks at larger commercial properties.
You will visit client facilities and perform evaluations that will help our clients reduce risks in their business and at their properties.
You will perform A cents EUR oehands-onA cents EUR site assessments of physical properties including roofs and conduct evaluations which include, but are not limited to, site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and rack storage arrangements of client products.
Consultant Engineers are encouraged to follow FM Global Engineering Standards and communicate recommendations and/or engineering solutions to ensure client understanding.
Strong communication, listening and relationship building skills are a must.
You should be willing to operate from a home office and will travel to clients' facilities daily; overnight travel is expected approximately 30% of the time.
You must also be willing to travel to Natural Catastrophe sites as needed.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or fire protectionA' Strong verbal and written communications skillsGood analytical, organizational, problem solving skillsEfficient time management ability with work independentlyProven technical capability including diverse knowledge of engineering principlesValid driverA cents EUR (TM) s licensePhysical ability to climb commercial ladders (ex.
inspect roofs), lift >25 lbs.

A' Proficient in MS Office productsYou will be expected to work independently and should be willing to operate from your home office and travel to client sites in the Washington DC/Reston VA territories.
