Our Inova Fairfax location is seeking a FULL-TIME DAY SHIFT QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST Some of the duties include:
Participate in the support of the donor center quality processes to ensure a high quality collection process.
Work with other Quality Assurance Specialists in a collaborative working environment to facilitate seamless high quality customer service.
Assist in the development and implementation of competency and proficiency programs to monitor quality, purity, and potency of blood.
Assist managers with development, format, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
Assist with internal and external audits and inspections.
Additional Information:
Assist donor center areas on matter of quality improvement, evidenced by performing audits, Quality Improvement Reports, and direct observations.
Assist donor center areas on matter of quality control and quality assurance.
Measured by audit process and audit outcomes monthly, quarterly, or as needed.
Assist donor center areas with validation of processes or equipment as needed, evidenced by the process of validation, stress testing the system or quality control of end products.
Develop and implement validation protocols.
Validation process reviewed by Quality Assurance Manager before process validation.
Assist with error management process.
Monitored by quality improvement reports monthly.
Assist in developing processes for quality control, equipment maintenance and calibration, evidenced by monthly review of quality control, maintenance and calibration logs.
Assist in the training of new Standard Operating Procedures.
Review of training documents as required.
Assist with development and implementation of new employee training specific to assigned area.
Direct observation and exam process.
Assist with internal and external audits and inspections.
Schedules, performs, and guides audits of assigned areas.
Review of audit outcome monthly, quarterly or as required.

__ ## Requirements Experience :
Three years of recent experience in a donor center, transfusion service, or related field.
Familiar with Federal Drug Administration, American Association of Blood Banks, College of American Pathologists, and Occupational Safety Hazard Administration.
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Certification:
MT(ASCP) certification preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
