Senior Electrical Engineer Power Systems
Raytheon is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide program management and engineering support to a US Government program.
The senior engineer will serve as a member of a team that is responsible for monitoring and facilitating technical development and production projects that are being performed for a Government customer.
Job duties include ensuring that system requirements and specifications are consistent with operational deployment environments, recommending innovative solutions for technical and operational problems, monitoring and documenting component and system tests, ensuring compliance with Government program management practices, supporting program control gates and boards, and authoring and reviewing project documentation.
The senior engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert for a variety of power system projects.
Experience in the design and/or operation of industrial power system equipment, 3 phase power distribution systems, transformers and control systems in low, medium and high-voltage environments is required.
The job is located in Northern Virginia, and occasional domestic travel (one week per month) may be required.

years of experience managing technical system development projects.

years of experience in electrical power system design and/or system operations is required.
Hands-on field experience is highly desired.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to the customer.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
Desired Skills and
Experience:
Program Management or COTR certification.
Required Education:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Science is required.
