Contracts Manager

Contracts ManagerThe Contracts Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining processes for efficient onboarding and prequalification of HITT's subcontracting partners across our nationwide operations.
Success in this role requires the ability to constantly seek efficiencies and develop processes with the overall objective of supporting operations and mitigating subcontractor-related risks.
The Contracts Manager collaborates with project management, accounting, risk management and legal teams.
The ideal candidate is a strong project manager, detail-oriented, organized, high-performing, and has strong customer service skills.
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Business or a real estate or construction related field5-7 years of experience in risk management, contracts administration or construction operationsExperience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) field is desirable, but not required.
Ability to understand contractual terms and conditions related to subcontractors and insuranceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Experience with leading the implementation of a tool, system or software.
Confidence in collaborating with executive leadership individually and in group settings is required.
Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple hard deadlines and long-term projects.
REPORTING STRUCTUREThe position reports to the Director of Contracts Administration.
The position falls within HITT's Legal and Risk Management DepartmentJOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee implementation, rollout and maintenance of subcontractor prequalification process and systemWrite policies and procedures related to subcontractor onboarding and prequalificationLead negotiations with subcontractors on standard terms and conditionsOversee and maintain expectations and criteria for subcontractor qualificationsAct as point-of-contact for operations; guiding them as they need support onboarding subcontractors; maintaining project and team knowledge.
Develop best practices associated with subcontractor management and risk mitigationCollect, maintain and analyze subcontractor data and develop standard reportingDevelop and ensure standard best practices and standards for subcontractor management.
Maintain and control costs, as dictated by the departmental budget.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
