Job Duties: Meta Dimensions, Inc. is seeking experienced Computer Systems Analysts II in Fairfax County to analyze, design, develop, and otherwise deliver customized systems applications for assigned projects. Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Modify, test, and debug systems to meet client specifications as required.
- Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system.
- May serve as a lead for a team of IT Professionals and coordinate among teams.
- Install systems and train end-users as directed.
- Provide status reporting, estimation, scheduling, planning and execution of project with specific focus on requirement analysis and design.
- Set goals and report on project status and staff performance.
- Resolve technical problems.
- Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.
May perform other duties normal for Computer Systems Analysts, as assigned.
Minimum requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or any related technology field of study providing the required knowledge and abilities, and at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position providing the required skills and abilities. Must have demonstrable experience and proficiency with the following:
- Relational Databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle and DB2
- ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
- Requirement Analysis and Quality Assurance Estimations
- Test Case execution and Optimization
- Performance testing and Status Reporting
- Database scripting language PL/SQL
- Unix
Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.
Additional Information: No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based on long-term projects at various unanticipated client sites within the U.S., and relocation may be required at the end of each project.
