The Lead Residential Service Worker is responsible for monitoring the activities of residents of the Shelter and for ensuring compliance with program rules and conditions. He/She is also responsible for ensuring the safety of residents and the security and sanitation of the program. This position will also provides direct support to residents as needed. In addition, he/she will assist in the orientation and training of all Residential Service Workers assigned to the primary shift. They ensure coverage is maintained for the primary shift schedule.
REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate shall possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field; or a High School diploma/GED and 12 months community based social services experience or other related experience.
Requirements include the ability to interact and communicate effectively with others. The Shift Supervisor must be able to prepare written reports; monitor and direct program activities; and ensure the safety and security of program operations.
The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
Selected candidates must be privileged to drive according to the criteria set forth by Agency MVR guidelines and must possess a valid driver's license. Selected candidates must pass all pre-employment requirements, which include criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting and drug screening.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
