Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of the MHS Manager, Team Lead, or Lead Ambassador the Ambassador is responsible for escorting and providing directions to patients and guests to and/or from the hospital in a welcoming, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
Ambassadors are also responsible for assisting guests with inquiries, wheelchairs, luggage, directions, hospital promotions/campaigns, and initial questions regarding the hospital facility and service offerings.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Conveys scripted salutations and messaging for every patron upon arrival and departure.
Utilizes proper safe patient handling techniques.
Personally escorts guests throughout the facility, opens doors, offers wheelchair assistance, guidance, and carries packages and luggage.
Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly with courtesy.
Knowledge of the facility procedures and guest-related information including, facility general information, general event information, taxi/transportation assistance, and airport information, and emergency codes.
Respond to safety hazards according to facility procedures to include:
water on the floor, objects inadvertently blocking doors, electrical cords removed or taped, and misplaced furniture.
Immediately report any accidents to the manager on duty.
Maintains a safe, clean, and neat work environment by following standards and procedures.
Maintains strict confidentiality related to work information (in accordance with HIPAA).
Perform other duties as assigned.
