A$ A' A' ?Business Development Director- ConstructionOur construction client is actively seeking an experienced Business Development professional, with experience in the Washington DC and Northern Virginia market for a full time permanent staff opportunity.
Qualified individuals with contacts & relationships within the construction industry that would allow you to generate new business opportunities.
Competitive base salary and bonus.
Experience in a marketing, business development or sales role within the construction industry.
Experience in Civil Construction desired (Heavy Civil, Bridges, Highways, Excavation, Paving, Sitework), relevant Engineering, Commercial or Industrial Construction considered.
Our client will not consider residential builder candidates.
Aid in company business development, marketing, and proposal activitiesIdentify, develop, and recommend strategy & tactics to expand new business opportunitiesSecure large construction projectsLeverage contacts and previous clients to open new opportunities for businessStrong experience developing proposalsCommunicate with senior management in terms of agreed upon objectives and efforts taken to achieve the necessary resultsStay current with market trends and current business environmentResults driven individual with a history of proven resultsRemain up to date with industry trends and potential opportunitiesWork collaboratively with team members
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree (Construction, Business, Marketing, or related field) is a plusGenerate new business through industry contacts and current/previous clientsApproximately three (3) or more years' experience in the construction industry with a successful record.
Established relationships within the industry that would allow you to generate new businessExcellent presentation, relationship building, and communications skills verbal & writtenAbility to interact & communicate with clients, staff, subcontractors, and executive management.
Ability and previous successful experience developing new business and creating technical proposals.
