Job Description Advance Auto Parts (AAP) is seeking a Sr.
DBA Engineer to help with our modernization efforts within the IT Engineering & Operations Organization.
This position requires a high-energy, positive attitude and proactive candidate who can work closely with our application development team.

Skills 8
years of experience as a DBA 6
years of experience engineering, administering, and managing relational databases like Postgres and MySQL 4
years of experience managing RDS on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
Experience developing automated processes on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc) Knowledge of Teffaforms, NewRelic, Confluence, Jira
Strong communication skills Strong interaction skills with clients Roles & Responsibilities In-depth knowledge of Cloud architecture and database migration to Cloud Expert in RDS support and DMS Services Expert in handling PostgreSQL Database in Cloud Collaborate with architecture and development teams in providing design recommendations.
Define standards for an effective database migration into cloud Create Production and Operations readiness plans and documents Extensive knowledge of the MySQL & PostgreSQL architecture and drive end to end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning Active experience in supporting MySQL and SQL Server and Application environments Rewrite and debugging complex code to be compatible with MySQL or PostgreSql Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment independently Troubleshooting database performance issues and help to ensure security and compliance across all database systems Day to day administration and Database Maintenance in Cloud Executing database upgrades and Migrations including OnPrem and in Cloud Define and Manage database ACLs Providing on-call support for production database systems Continues improvement and Automating as much as possible Communicate clearly and regularly with project teams and management.
Mentor team and build cloud knowledge with-in the team and drive for team success.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
